Smart Cart OS works out of the box with zero code. After installing, go to your Shopify Theme Editor, find Smart Cart OS in the App Blocks section, and toggle it on. All settings (goals, colours, modules) are configurable from the Theme Editor.
🔧 Uninstalling
To remove Smart Cart OS, simply uninstall it from your Shopify admin under Apps. All code is removed automatically — nothing is left behind on your store.

Will Smart Cart OS slow down my store?
No. Smart Cart OS uses lightweight JavaScript that loads asynchronously. It has no impact on your Core Web Vitals or page load speed. The checkout button is a plain HTML link that works even if JavaScript fails.
How do I set up my spending goals?
Go to your Shopify Theme Editor → find Smart Cart OS → adjust the goal settings. You can set up to 3 goals (e.g. Free Shipping at £25, Free Gift at £50, 10% Off at £75). Each goal has a toggle, label, threshold, and icon.
How do cross-sell recommendations work?
Smart Cart OS uses a cascading recommendation system: first it checks for manual product overrides (via metafields), then same-collection products, then same product type/tags, then Shopify's built-in Recommendations API. You can choose which mode to use in settings.
Does it work with all Shopify themes?
Smart Cart OS works with any Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme. It's installed as a theme app extension, so it integrates cleanly without modifying your theme code.
What currencies are supported?
All of them. Smart Cart OS reads your store's currency format automatically, so prices display correctly whether you use £, $, €, or any other currency.
Can I customise the look and feel?
Yes. You can change the accent colour, success colour, border radius, headings, labels, and toggle individual modules on or off — all from the Shopify Theme Editor with no code.
How does the analytics tracking work?
Smart Cart OS tracks items added via its features (cross-sells, fastest path, quick add-ons) and calculates gross and net revenue influenced. It only counts items added through Smart Cart — never items added from product pages. All tracking is session-based and runs in the browser.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel anytime by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. There are no contracts or cancellation fees. If you're on a free trial, you won't be charged.
